Finally giving up on getting those 40 FMJ kills with the SCAR, which is *still* pretty much the only gun I've been using. I hate this challenge really - it's the only one that for me doesn't just *happen*. I have to think about shooting through walls. I think it's the only challenge I have left for that gun, so I may go back.

Anyhow, moved on to the RPD and unlocked grip and RDS over the weekend. I've also been trying to use the iron sights on my guns more so I can use marathon instead of bling in the 1st perk slot, which with both the SCAR and RPD is fine because they have nice iron sights. Been doing OK with that.

I find myself just spraying bullets all over the place with the RPD because I can. I assume that's fairly normal for a LMG user?

Probably... I find if I use bling with grip and red dot, that I do spray fire and single/short burst depending on the situation.

I was on from 8-8:30, where was everyone?! ;-)

I have noticed that as I rank up, I'm moving from near the top of every Domination match to near the bottom. I guess I'm playing with better players. :shrug:

Liking the RPD. I really totally disregard accuracy at times and just rain hell down on dudes until they die. I can tell they're cowering behind some rock as I methodically move towards them with my shower of bullets. :rambo: Reloading is a bitch though. I usually go pee while the reloading animation works its way through.

You can read an entire issue of "walking dead" during reloads

I love doing that. I also love shooting where I last saw someone. I get lots of kills just be raining bullets in the spot where someone is probably taking cover.

There's a perk for that. It speeds things up a LOT. (reloading, not peeing)

After having not played for a few months, I feel like I got right back into the swing of things. I've decided that I'm not going to prestige again. I hate not having the Bling perk. It takes away a big part of my RPD game.
Also, I'm going to make an effort to try to get better at using sub machine guns, and shooting from the hip.

Yeah - sleight of hand. I'd have to do without either Bling or Marathon though. And I might even put Scavenger ahead of SoH too - with all those bullets in the LMGs, if I'm at least a *little* but judicious about accuracy, I usually die before I run out of bullets.

I love claymores, so I want to try using scavenger some so I can have more claymores. I dunno - all 4 of those perks I mention in the 1st slot are pretty good. Currently using Bling so I can have grip and RDS as I get used to the RPD.

In the 2nd Perk slot, I *always* use Cold Blooded. I guess stopping power might be good for some of the SMGs? And I guess Lightweight is useful in the same way Marathon is? I've never used lightweight. Good for knifing dudes and getting to objectives quick I guess.

And in the 3rd perk slot I like Commando Pro - not only can I knife dudes from 100 yards away, I can jump out of *anything* and take no damage. Ninja is alright too, but not many people seem to be using the HBS much, so I've stuck with Commando Pro.

No one else wants to talk about their LOADOUT? ;) I can't decide if I love or hate that term.

Played more with my RPD class (Grouchy) last night and then switched back to my SCAR class (Papa Smurf) for one game and immediately was back at the top of the leaderboard. I need to use some perks that overcome the shortcomings of the LMG and then decide if the tradeoff is worth it. Being able to move around so much quicker was huge.

speed is king in domination. I usually end up in the top 5 on that gametype and it's mostly becuase I get to flags and defecd flags. you get 150 pts (= 3 kills) for taking a flag and 250 (50 for the kill plus 200) for defending one. so if you take 2 flags and defend 2 it's the same points wise as a sniper who hangs back and gets 16 kills.

My loadout on my domination class (Kaiju Jugorama) is:
Primary = SMG (currently UMP)
Secondary = handgun/pistol
PERK 1 Marathon
PERK 2 Lightweight
PERK 3 Commando

super fast, always the first one to "B" on any map. im usually a pretty even split between grenade, gun and knife kills.

Makes sense - all I play is Domination, so I guess I don't pay as much attention to what is good for the gametype.

I have an SMG class (Smurfette) that I need to get going with.

It's possible (though unlikely) that I know these maps well enough to not get annihilated by campers in deathmatch. I should jump into Groundwar some.

You guys are all done with this game and I'm just figuring it out. ;-)
